La Patisserie is a French inspired pastry shop featuring fresh made pastries, breakfast treats, desserts and chocolates created right here at NFCI by our Pastry chefs. You can also grab a specialty coffee drink or take home some local favorites from Honeymoon Sweets or DiCamillo Bakery.
La Patisserie provides a hands-on real world learning environment for the students of the NFCI Pastry Arts curriculum. The goal of this casual eat-in or take-out operation is to simulate a retail bakery that offers a variety of European sweets and sandwiches from bite sized desserts to whole cakes and tortes. This outlet allows pastry students to hone their skills and understand the retail business model in a "real" working pastry shop.
The Pastry Production Experience classes - PAS 105 and PAS 107 - give students a chance to work in high volume retail sales of a free standing Pastry Shop. Students work 120 hours in La Patisserie during their time at the College.
